"The Brand New Triathalon" by Rick Raxlen


“The Brand New Triathlon” is a 2003 film by Rick Raxlen, an experimental animation that uses rotoscope; shot on 16 mm, Rick worked with Gilbert Taggart as his cameraman.   Raxlen's film and video work has been screened nationally and internationally, including venues such as the National Gallery in Ottawa, AGGV, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.  His short animation films  have won prizes at film festivals in Ann Arbor, Portland, and Victoria, and have been included in tributes to Canadian indie animation at festivals in Dresden, Budapest, Zagreb, Ottawa, Annecy and other venues.
