We’re hosting a workshop with renowned electronic music producer, sound designer, DJ, and Ableton trainer PIEZO (Luca Mucci) on Friday, June 13th at 4:30PM — followed by a social mixer before we head to the club for his set alongside Bronwyn (YVR), Vasho (YVR), and Scree Running.

Curated by the Dirty Dishes Collective, Eat in Take out pairs Soba’s
Corner, a video work and takeout menu by Snack Witch/Joni Cheung with a
collaborative zine, and dinner party.
Participants will learn how to paint directly on 16 mm film, as well as modify and alter existing 16 mm film imagery. At the end of the workshop we will project and transfer the final films to video. This workshop will be led by experimental filmmakers and RAW STOCK members Peter Sandmark and Trace Nelson.
Workshops are $50 each and include all materials

Experimental filmmaker Dave Johnson, a member of the RAW STOCK film collective, will teach how to use a 16 mm Bolex camera, and do light meter readings for exposing B&W film. Then participants will shoot and hand process 16 mm negative film, and project the final films!

Revealing Presence is an Augmented Reality project taking place on the unceded lands of the Lekwungen speaking peoples, now called Victoria BC. The project aims to make visible the stories and histories of peoples and events from the past, which continue to affect our relationships to the land and to each other. Five artists – Kemi Craig, Lindsay Delaronde, Colton Hash, Eli Hirtle and France Trepanier – have created works at specific locations, revealing the stories and unheard voices of these places.

The first exhibition in the series will be works by Richard and Susy Raxlen, presented in FLUX Gallery from October 21 to November 5. There will be a reception with the artists from 4 -6pm on November 21.
We will be showing Regardo by Susy Raxlen, and several works by Richard Raxlen, including We Mammals Pushy, Geometry of Beware and more.
